xclusive Eco-Safaris Within Kunene Conservancies in Namibia

Cultural Immersion - Himba / Herero - 3 nights

4 days / 3 nights, maximum 9 participants, minimum 3.

This pioneering and exclusive eco-safari is ideal for those with a hectic schedule, but who would still like to enjoy an authentic cultural & desert excursion. It is also ideal for self-drive visitors who wish to have a short but quality guided experience.

 

All tours will start from (and return to) Swakopmund or Palmwag.

This is extremely convenient, and allows you to include this shorter guided part of your trip in a more affordable and longer Namibia holidays organised with Namikala Safaris.

They are valuable additions to any self-drive tour or Fly-In safari.

 

TRIP SUMMARY

 

Day 1: Stunning terrain and first encounters with Himba & Herero communities.

Camp at Puros Community campsite

 

Day 2: Today is a blend of culture and spectacular scenery.  Undoubtedly, the intimate exposure to the local cultures will be a highlight. A chance to chat with your Himba hosts around the fire.  Comfortable mobile camp near a traditional village

 

Day 3: Experience morning village life and possibly assist with some of the everyday tasks. The afternoon is spent searching for elephants, lions, oryx, giraffe and other animals in and around the Hoanib River. Comfortable mobile camp in the Hoanib

 

Day 4: After a leisurely breakfast, search for wildlife en route to Sesfontein or pre-arranged drop off point.

 

Please note that activities in the conservancies described on particular days are flexible and interchangeable as these are not “staged” but depend on the current day to day activities and events of the communities themselves.

Price includes:

Pick up on day 1 (from 10am) and drop off on day 4 (mid day) at Wereldsend, Palmwag lodge, Sesfontein. Breakfasts (3), Lunch (3), snacks, dinner (3)

Alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages

 

Price does not include:

International flights or transfers to and from the Palmwag/Sesfontein area.  

Accommodation prior or after the tour (however, we can assist you with reservations if you wish) Breakfast on Day 1 or lunch on Day 4.

 

It is possible to book a private safari – price on request.

 

Rates are in US Dollars, are influenced by industry increases and may change without prior notice. Our rates include 15% VAT.
